  • Ideas on Memory :
    1. The ability to remember is fundamental to intellectual effectiveness
    2. Memorizing—far from being a passive, trivial activity, is an active pursuit.
    3. The capacity to take in information, to integrate it meaningfully and later to retrieve it is called successful memory learning
    4. Memorizing ability increases learning power, saves time, and leads to better quality of learning

Principles of Memory

  1. A—Awareness—observe carefully
  2. L—Link –make connections due to similarities (sometimes called chunking) or through stories
  3. A—Association—relate something you have to learn with something
  4. S—Substitute—Use mnemonics such as:
  5. K—Key words—while making a presentation or preparing for writing essays
  6. R—Ridiculous association you already know
