Instructional Objectives:

- Describe the historical application, prophetic application and universal application for understanding Jesus’ messages to the seven churches.
- Identify each application message of the seven churches.
- Share the different concepts of historical, prophetic and universal application.
- Participate actively in the jigsaw activity.
- Encourage each other in processing information.
Introduction: Have you ever deeply study about the seven churches in Revelation 2-3? would you like to know that the messages for the seven churches is having three variable levels in its application. The message that not just for the seven churches at that time but also for us. Also, as a dramatize picture for all of the Christainity, from the first age to the second comming of Christ.
Presentation:

| 2. Divide the whole class into base groups through counting off. | Join their respective base groups quickly and quietly. |
| 3. Give direction about the paper and give out the jigsaw cut-out papers stapled together by set to each group. | Listening to the direction and distribute three cut-out paper in a set among the students. |

| 5. Direct students to go to their respective expert groups and share their ideas of their part. | Assemble in a group (where everybody has a common item at hand) at a designated area and discuss their idea about their own part. |

Assignments:
- Read Revelation 2-3.
- Pray fervently as you read Revelation 2-3, So you can find your self character as an individual or a church, representatively depicted by Jesus.
Reflections: Today I learn to use Expert Jigsaw in my micro teaching. As we in a group that consist of 8 students who most of us using expert Jigsaw, i become more expert in using this method of teaching. Since, all of us, evaluating, learning and seeing each other to equip our view in expert jigsaw. I can say, we become more acquainted with this method. Also, in my reflection, using jigsaw method is good for teacher that want to teach the student to be more cooperative with each other classmate. Since, students can learn from each other to build a complete idea with their own understanding of their reading. One thing i will add in my future teaching experience. If i use this method, i will prepare a complete whole paper with the cut out matery to the students. Because i see in my micro teaching. Some students already have a good idea on the whole matery—so it will be better to give a guide lesson to them as a whole paper matery to them. The other students also have a very perfect speedfull reading talent—so while this students finish their spesific matery, they can read another matery, to make them perfect in a whole understanding and to make them keep busy and not anoying other students. JIGSAW MATERIAL
THREE APPLICATION LEVELS FOR UNDERSTANDING JESUS’ MESSAGES TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES

Historical application. Taking historical application meant that we take the messages of seven churches as what is pointed to us in the text of Revelation 2-3. Historical application is trying to show the real and exact context of the current situation in the seven churches. In other words, Just read Revelation 2-3 as what the text said, it is the historical application.

Prophetic application. The propehtic application is showing to us the spiritual conditions of seven churches as a parallel for the spritual conditions of God’s people throug all the ages. In the view of prophetic application, seven messages for the seven churches are intended to provide, the heavenly perspective, as a panoramic survey for the Christianity from the first century until the second comming of Christ.

Universal application. Universal application clarified to us that the seven messages also contain lessons that can be best apply for Christians today. As the example, while the general characteristic of Christianity today is Laodicean, but some Christians or churches today may identify their church as having the characteristics of the other churches written in Revelation 2-3. In other words, universal application is showing the spiritual condition of the seven churches that can be used as an advice for us today.
